Blogmas Day 7 / Favorite Winter Nail Polishes

Ever since I was a kid, I've been a nail biter. I remember my mom used to make me pay her a quarter any time she saw me biting my nails haha. She eventually stopped making me do that, but I continued the horrible habit of biting my nails. A year or so ago I realized that whenever I had nail polish on, I didn't bite or pick at my nails at all. I think because my nails looked so pretty, I didn't want to ruin them by biting my nails. So since then, I've had nail polish on basically all of the time. It might not be that healthy for them (although I always use a base coat to help protect them), but I think it's A LOT better then biting them!

Out of my extensive collection of nail polish colors (I have a whole box full, I'm probably going to have to find another storage solution soon), I've rounded up my favorites to wear during the winter/holiday time.

From left going clockwise:
  • Essie / Berry Naughty - as the name suggests, this is a deep berry red that's the perfect red color (for me at least) during Christmas time.
  • Julep / Daria - I don't know if this is named after the 90's TV show Daria, but this is a nice grey that's great for colder days.
  • OPI / Samoan Sand - I particularly like nude shades in the winter, and this peachy nude color is one of my favorites.
  • Essie / Imported Bubbly - ok, I'm always so down with anything that references champagne, and I love wearing this for holiday parties.
  • Zoya / Ziv - I also love wearing glittery golds for parties. I think I've worn this color for my family's past 3 Christmas Eve parties.
  • Essie / Don't Sweater It - I'm also a sucker for nail polishes that have great punny names (like this one), but the name is definitely self-explanatory as to why this is great during the winter.
